Questions about official Elbert County criminal records belong with the office that created or maintains the record. The contacts below separate Sheriff and jail records from court files, Elberton police reports, and statewide GCIC histories.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the custodian that matches the Elbert County record:

  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
  • Criminal histories and self-review: contact GBI's Georgia Crime Information Center
  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: call the Elbert County Jail at 706-283-2040 or use the Sheriff records channel
  • Fingerprint checks: enroll through GAPS/IdentoGO with the service code supplied by the authorized agency
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Record restriction and sealing: follow GCIC routing and contact the court that owns the related docket
